I have heard it said that a right is something that cannot and should not be legislated.

Regardless this amendment says shall not be infringed; I believe that is what it means. 

As a former police officer, I know that an armed person is better able to protect their

Self and others than an unarmed person and policemen are rarely around to protect

You when you might need them. I also know that our founders believed that people

needed To be well armed to defend themselves and fight off tyranny.
